A new optometrist, Louise Stainer, will be joining our staff this June to support our consultant staff and clinical team in delivering a premium service for our customers.

Louise graduated from Aston University in 2002 with a First Class Honours degree in Optometry. After registration, Louise has worked in Independent Optometry practices where she carried out diabetic screening, eye testing and contact lens fitting. Louise has also worked at Kidderminster Hospital in the specialist paediatric clinic and conducted domiciliary visits. She is already involved in sessional work at the Academy where she supports commercial research into Macular degeneration and specialist diagnostic testing using confocal microscopy.
