Your MRI Scan

The 3 steps to your MRI scan with the Aston Hospital 3T MRI scanner.

1. Referral Letter

• The first step towards arranging for a scan with the Aston 3T MRI scanner is a visit and consultation with your medical practitioner.
• This may be with your GP or your Physiotherapist, Chiropractor or osteopath.
• A referral letter from one of the above practitioners is needed to access our services.

2. Health Insurance

• We are affiliated with most of the major health insurance providers:
  BUPA*
  AXA PPP
  Standard Life Healthcare
  WPA Limited
  Norwich Union
  PRU Health
  Medisure Group
  BCWA
• If you have cover, please obtain an authorisation code for your scan.

3. Self Referrers

• As a self referrer you will only require a referral letter (see 1 above).

4. Your first meeting with us

• Call us to schedule your 3T scan.
• Our receptionists will ask you a series of simple questions to ensure you are suitable to have an MRI scan.
