Directions by car
From the M6
Leave the M6 at Junction 6 following signs for the "City centre, Bromsgrove (A38)". Ignore signs to Aston and stay on the A38M for about 2 miles. As you leave the A38M, filter left. This enables you to take the first exit at the Lancaster Circus Roundabout onto James Watt Queensway. Continue along James Watt Queensway passing over a pedestrian crossing. At the second set of lights after the pedestrian crossing turn left into Jennens Road. After approximately 200 metres take the next left into Woodcock street and after 50 metres turn left into Coleshill Street. Carry on for a further 50 metres. Aston University Day Hospital is the glass fronted building on the right hand side. Parking is available directly outside the building.
From the M5
Leave the M5 at Junction 3 and travel along the Hagley Road West (A456) towards the City centre. After about 5 miles, start to follow the signs for the Convention Centre and Broad Street. At Broad Street follow the blue M6 North and Lichfield A38 signs. At Paradise Circus, continue to follow the M6 North and Lichfield A38 signs taking the 2nd exit. After the 2nd exit, enter the underpass on your right (signed M6 North and Lichfield A38); leave the underpass at 1st exit following signs to Aston University. At Lancaster Circus take 3rd exit onto James Watt Queensway. Continue along James Watt Queensway passing over a pedestrian crossing. At the second set of lights after the pedestrian crossing turn left into Jennens Road. After approximately 200 metres take the next left into Woodcock street and after 50 metres turn left into Coleshill Street. Carry on for a further 50 metres. Aston University Day Hospital is the glass fronted building on the right hand side. Parking is available directly outside the building.
Directions by Train
There are three city centre railway stations: New St Station, Snow Hill Station and Moor St Station. Each station is approximately 15 minutes away from Aston University Day Hospital by foot.
New St Station
Exit the station via the escalators into the New St shopping complex and exit down the ramp into Corporation Street which is the Street directly opposite. Continue to the bottom of Corporation Street before it turns back on itself and just after the law courts. Immediately to your right you will see James Watt Queensway. Cross the dual carriage way at the pelican lights and continue onto the campus passing the lakeside centre on your left. Carry straight on to the University library. Aston Day Hospital is the building immediately to the right of the library
Snow Hill Station
Exit the station onto Colmore Row. Directly to the left of the station entrance is Colmore Circus and the impressive Weslyan insurance building. Pass across the pedestrianised area and across the pelican crossing into Steelhouse Lane. Continue to the end of Steelhouse Lane where it bends round into Corporation Street. You will immediately see the James Watt Queensway dual carriageway. Cross the dual carriage way at the pelican lights and continue onto the campus on your left. Carry straight on to the University library. Aston Day Hospital is to the building immediately to the right of the library
Moor Street Station
Exit the station and turn right onto Moor Street Queensway. Continue to the second set of lights and turn left into James Watt Queensway. Cross at the pelican crossing into Coleshill Street and onto the University campus. On entering the campus turn left towards the lakeside centre. Pass the lakeside centre on your left and carry straight on to the University library. Aston Day Hospital is to the building immediately to the right of the library
